About IMS

International Mission Support (IMS) is an organization set up by Rev. Mike J. Jones in 1975 as a vehicle for the continued worldwide ministry that God had brought him and his associates into over the years.

The philosophy of the ministry has always been, to Reach, to Win, to Train, and to Release, which continues to this day.

IMS as been an evangelistic preaching and teaching organization operating in some 60 plus countries around the world. It has been worked out through five predominant areas.

Project support came about as a result of Mike’s preaching in countries and seeing first hand the desperate needs facing people.  Along with other colleagues we are able to bring a little relief to some of these situations, by financially supporting church building, orphanages, humanitarian aid projects, sending regular convoys of trucks to various destinations carrying aid and practically bringing relief on a regular basis into areas where it is so desperately needed. Building up relationships with local personnel, which initially came through the preaching ministry.

IMS Areas of Work

  1. Taking and leading evangelistic gatherings in many countries with a big emphasis on Africa and Eastern Europe, where open air gatherings of 80,000 are not uncommon, bringing the Word through preaching.
  2. Training and equipping people in the work of the ministry by both taking personnel   on  missions &  teaching in  discipleship training courses, and  Bible Colleges,  both in person and through correspondence courses.
  3. Supporting overseas Pastors by fellow-shipping with them & having a practical input in establishing business, so they can support themselves. Teaching at conferences, having input into Local Church leadership, particularly in Africa and Eastern Europe countries…
  4. Planting Churches alongside the Nationals, Financing the construction of the buildings, seeing the Church become self reliant and keeping an Apostolic link with them.
  5. As a mission much of the local ministry is supported through small businesses set up in different countries. I.M.S helps establishes the projects looking to make them profitable and self sustaining in 3 / 5 years. These have taken the form of   small Pig farms, Peanut butter and Coconut oil production, Brick making businesses, & small loan schemes all of theses have proved successful in supporting local Pastors & mission work.
  6. IMS became involved in supporting orphanages many years ago and is actively involved in this work in many helping by renovating & constructing new buildings, supporting the monthly need of the children.
  7. Education – IMS   as established a  Midwifery Trading College & Schools to help in educating Children & young people in  needy areas working  alongside Churches, obtaining land & contracting the buildings

God declares in His word that we cannot say that we love Him if we see those in need and are not prepared to help when we have the means.
